For purposes of compliance with Section 8 of the Companies Act, under which Sakshi’s Joy Foundation is registered, Sakshi’s Joy Candles will be considered an independent initiative by Usha Sivan, wherein the profits from the sale of candles are donated to the foundation.
Our Beginnings
When Sakshi passed away, she left her devastated family grappling for direction and meaning. We decided to do something to honour and remember Sakshi by, and this decision gave birth to the idea of making candles - something that would spread light and warmth just like Sakshi. We named our candles, Sakshi’s Joy, a name that celebrates her primary quality – joy.
We hope that some of Sakshi’s spirited light shines in your life whenever you light these candles. We hope her story inspires everyone to live life fully and face their challenges with grit and a head thrown back in laughter.
Our Candles
Lovingly hand-crafted by Sakshi's ammamma (maternal grandmother), every single one of Sakshi’s Joy candles is a labour of love. Made of soy wax, they are environment-friendly, carbon-neutral, and emit minimal soot. Our wicks are made with unbleached cotton as opposed to a lead-core wick, and we only use pure essential oils, which means the mellow fragrance is entirely chemical-free. Sakshi’s Joy candles are completely free of toxic chemicals, preservatives, and carcinogenic ingredients. Every element of our candles, from the components and jars to the labels and packaging, has been selected with love, and we hope that Sakshi’s Joy Candles brings light and joy into your life.
