This year, The Short N Sweet (S+S) Theatre Festival, held at The Junction, named its award given to the most impressive new talent(s) in Dubai's theatre scene, THE SAKSHI VERKOT NEW TALENT Award.
This year the award was given to Beatrix D’Arcy (for her work in Hansel & Gretel), Kiyan Patel (for his work in Shilpkaar) & Freda Smith (for her work in Art).

A remarkable initiative by GEMS Modern Academy, Sakshi’s alma mater, The Sakshi Verkot Memorial Theatre Festival is an annual festival that celebrates Sakshi’s passion for the performing arts and provides a platform for young talent in Dubai. Besides carrying forward her spirit of resilience and joy, it will also raise awareness about childhood cancers.
